The word "concrete jungle" flashed through my mind as I cut some small grass shapes out of cardboard. It was a cyberpunk concept that immediately made me want to create a futuristic city under an aurora sky. I wanted to create an atmosphere of supernatural magical realism that would allow people from the future to travel through.

reflection on the workshop

In the afternoon, we made a 3D model using the image from the last workshop. This is more about making than thinking because the design is more about making than thinking. We should start doing more things.

The original image I made last time was a grass and a chair. In the process of 3D production, I wanted to restore the grass as much as possible. I found that manual 3D modelling can also develop a lot of possibilities, and it makes people feel every aspect of the model more directly and quickly than software 3D modelling.
This reminds me of the sequence workshop last semester, where we did some small exercises with some adjectives, and I created some raised effects in one of the papers. Laura said that this is a good attempt, sometimes we don't have to do the effect only on the plane, we can consider the extension of the space.

We didn't just use cardboard, we also used wire, tape and other 3D tools. Finally, I chose one work to shoot in the lightbox. It takes a combination of what we learned in our photography class on Monday to shoot a 3D model from different angles.
