Today, we have determined the presentation form of data and discussed the way of data visualization. The specific discussion process and results are as follows.

1. Proposal

I came up with three ideas, all inspired by the work of Tomoko Miho.

(1) Since Tomoko Miho is very good at poster design, I chose her masterpiece Great Architecture in Chicago poster (1967) as the source of inspiration. This poster is made of silver coated paper, so I plan to paste silver coated paper of A0 size on the wall and express the data like the building floor.
(2) In Tomoko's work Wall St, glass columns of different heights are used, on which some black characters are printed. This is very useful in data visualization projects. I wanted to print our data on two glass columns and shine light on Tomoko's personal parts to show her uniqueness in the long history.
(3) considering that the material of the glass column cannot be suitable, I came up with the third option, which is to make two columns with cardboard and silver coated paper on the outer bread.

The scheme proposed by my group members is to fold a complicated square in Tomoko's works out of paper and hang it on a wall. Each square represents a designer, and then use a special material or color to represent the data of Tomoko alone.

2. Simulation Experiment
We made some small models with the method learned in 3D workshop, and conducted the light concentration experiment. We tried to shine a light on silver paper to focus Tomoko's personal data.
After the experiment, we found it difficult to realize my plan in a short time, so we decided to combine everyone's ideas. We will fold these data on paper, but we choose silver coated paper, which will be more closely related to Tomoko.

3. Determine the plan
We'll use silver color for male designers and red color for female designers. Tomoko is also one of the female designers, so her data is also in red, but we distinguish her from other female designers by size and shape. We will design more complicated origami for her, and print some of her photos and profile on her origami. This is our final plan, which will be discussed with Gen tomorrow.
