Questionnaire design

  • First of all, the background information and the expression format of this project that I originally thought about were put into the questionnaire survey. Let the people under investigation further understand my project and answer the questions I set more fully.
  •  Next, I go to chat with the people who will be surveyed to understand what they think about the "ego" I want to know and the problem I want to solve? What do they think about that?
  • The format of the questionnaire is also very important. What language and vision can be used to make this questionnaire more vivid and interesting, thereby arousing the interest of the respondents.
  • Determine the form and amount of distribution. In the field of questionnaires, the most important thing is "representation" rather than quantity. Therefore, I determine that the distribution is about 20 copies. Because I made it sure in the early stage that the audiences of my project are designers and artists, so in this questionnaire survey, I decided to investigate only my audiences. In a special period, I decided to use electronic distribution and a small number of physical questionnaires.

What do I want to get through the survey

This questionnaire survey I mainly want to understand is five aspects. The scope of the problem is “ego”, and the problem to be solved is to inspire the next visual experiment.

  • Under what conditions will my audience‘s (designer & artist) ego stand out?
  • What does my audiences understand about the connection between individual and collective?
  •  What does my audiences understand about the relationship between art and politics?
  • How do they like to express their ideas?
  • What best reflects their ego?

According to these aspects, I set some questions.
