Project Name：“join space and substance”/ Tomoko Miho

Project Introduction: 

Our data show the only female designer during the war years. The data set is all designers from 1880 to 2020. Among the dazzling stars, she exudes a unique brilliance.

Our inspiration came from Miho's work Omniplan. We made a wall-mounted device from this to show the data. The device has eight regions to represent time, 1880-2020, divided into regions every 20 years. We use silver for males and red for females and arrange them in chronological order. Miho is one of the females, so her data is also shown in red. We put Miho's personal information right in the middle. We designed a topological origami for her and printed some of her photos and personal profile on her origami. Audiences can find Miho among many designers from different generations and get to know her better.
