According to the data arrangement in the class, we are interested in gender issue and emerging couple designers. So we discussed three phenomenons below:

  • We believe that women are more aware of art and design than men because they are more tolerant, sensitive, attentive, empathic and creative. However, in the data map we put together, the proportion of male is overwhelmingly majority. This makes us want to make a visual representation of the data for this phenomenon.
  • More and more design combinations have emerged in recent years, often with two or more people working together. This was rare among designers before 2000. This set of data is also a good choice.
  • Identified time and gender as the database, one of the things that stands out in our data set is a Japanese female designer. She was a beautiful presence, the only female designer of the war years.

After a heated discussion, we thought there are some problems in the first one and the second one. So we're going to have this beautiful existence, the female designer in the war years, to develops a set of data vision.
We agreed on the schedule of the project and set the time for the next few discussions. We decided to start by investigating some examples of data visualization. And everyone comes up with some ideas that work.
Because this is a project completed in a short time, we decided only to use fewer days for research, we need more time to experiment and realize it. So the first step is to organize our time and keep it organized.
In the next discussion, we'll go straight to our three persons' idea and choose the best one to experiment it.
