Workshop with Gen

Today we made a larger model according to the last experiment. We observed 125 walls and tested our model in the context. Through communication with Gen and our own experiments, we found that the cardboard material for our base was inappropriate. Gen suggested that we use balsa wood as the base. We all agree that this is a good idea, which makes the structure of our basement more clear and the sense of frame stronger.

So now we've:

  • made the base model
  • identified the materials that we need

This makes it clear what we are going to do. Our work is carried out in strict accordance with the timetable set by the group. I find that the cooperation of 3 people can push each other and make progress together. It makes me more collective and driven. Compared with the single work, the group work has a higher execution and efficiency.

Week 19: buy materials and make base.
Week 20: origami.
Week 21: Topological Origami
