Cinema 4D
Cinema 4D contains modules such as modeling, animation, rendering (network rendering), characters, particles, and new illustrations. It can be said that Maxon CINEMA 4D provides a complete 3D creation platform. Cinema 4D R10 is a powerful 3D image design tool.
1. File conversion
The project files imported from other 3D software can be used directly, without worrying about whether there will be broken surfaces, file loss and other problems.
2. One of the most powerful systems to date
The C4D hair system is easy to control, can be quickly modeled, and can render various desired effects.
3. Advanced rendering module
CINEMA 4D has a fast rendering speed and can create the most textured and realistic works in the shortest time.
4. BodyPaint 3D
Three-dimensional texture painting can use this module to draw directly on the three-dimensional model. There are a variety of brush strokes that support pressure and layer functions, which are powerful.
5. MoGraph system
He will provide the artist with a new dimension and method, and add an absolute weapon to Cinema 4D. It changes the matrix-like drawing mode to be extremely simple, effective, and extremely convenient. A single object, after wonderful arrangement and combination, and with the help of various effectors, you will find that monotonous simple graphics will also be incredible effect.
6. Prefabricated library of C4D
C4D has a rich and powerful preset library, you can easily find the models, textures, materials, lighting, environment, dynamics, and even camera lens presets you need from its presets, which greatly improves the work efficiency.
7. C4D seamlessly connects with After Effects

At this stage I started to understand and learn Cinema 4D. My purpose of learning C4D is to build a scene for my fiction. Compared with other software, C4D can make future, sci-fi, cyberpunk effects.
My first contact with C4D was in Gen's workshop. So this software is very strange to me, I decided to learn this software from the basics. I don't ask myself to quickly achieve a certain visual effect and directly follow the tutorial to make the effect, but I am steady, step by step, and seriously learn this software. I know it will take some time, but I am not in a hurry to succeed.Because I want to be very skilled and able to use this software in the future.
Today is my first day to practice this software, use this software to make some basic objects.
The knowledge I learned today is the foundation of modeling. I know the three basic tools of C4D: move tool, zoom tool, rotate tool. These three tools are the basic operations of this software. Although they are the three simplest tools, they determine my huge work. I also learned some basic tools and made notes. From the creation of simple geometry, to later I made a model of a car and a model of a unicycle.
In today's exercise, I am most interested in the two coordinates system of this software: physical coordinates and world coordinates. When using physical coordinates, the object's coordinate system changes direction as the object itself tilts. But when using world coordinates, all objects in the system use the same absolute coordinate system. It seems like that all objects receive gravity on the earth, but maintain their own small world. This reminds me of "chain-links" "the small-world problem" in Thinking & Language Workshop, that is, we are all independent individuals, but have the same connection. "Connection" is a direction that I am very happy to discuss and develop in design, because "connection" has always encouraged a kind of radioactive and iterative thinking, which will give people endless creativity. I think this is a design thinking that I often use. In contrast and association, the design creativity will be endless fractal like the Mandel ball.
Learning tasks:
To understand and be familiar with the interface, use basic geometry to make models, and use common tools to edit graphical objects. Know and understand the use of basic lighting. Lay the foundation for future complex modeling.
